Hi, thanks for posting and I am apologetic about the inconvenience caused to you. What you reported is terrible and manually punching the transactions it is really hard whenever the QuickBooks Sync manager fails. It appears to me as you using an older or unsupported version of QuickBooks as you haven’t mentioned it. To be précised, you must be aware of the fact that the third-party access through QuickBooks Sync Manager Ended March 1, 2016. However, many third-party application developers are in process to come up with a solution to bridge apps again with QuickBooks. QuickBooks Sync Manager for desktop versions has been discontinued since May 31, 2016. Alongside the change in technology and third-party plugins issues are prone to QuickBooks Sync Manager Error.

Before May 31, 2016, to fix QuickBooks Sync Manager Error was possible just by renaming the Sync Manager Folder. Doing this could resolve QuickBooks Sync Manager Errors you may be suffering with as mentioned below:

    • QuickBooks Sync Manager Error 5-13944.
    • QuickBooks Sync Manager Error 17_7118.
    • QuickBooks Sync Manager Error 17_7300.
    • QuickBooks Sync Manager Error on Windows 10.

    Hi Sundia,

There could be several reasons behind QuickBooks Error C=1304, However before providing you a solution or a permanent fix for this issue, let me tell you more about this error and causes:

      • The first and major cause of this error is the problem in the CD or DVD drive attached to your computer. It is very likely that it is not reading the disk properly.

      • Sometimes Electronic stores sell the disk that somebody has already returned and has scratches or damaged media and content.

      • Another important reason is the .NET framework is not working properly or not compatible with the version of the software you want to install on the computer.

Most of the time if your scenario lies in one of the above and if you rectify it, will definitely fix the QuickBooks Error C=1304,  Still, if you have any doubts and questions regarding this in your mind, feel free to contact a trained technician of both Windows and QuickBooks called QuickBooks ProAdvisor on 1-888-899-5690.

    Hi Linda,

Hi, your post is extremely appreciated. The piece of information that you read about the QuickBooks Database Server Manager is absolute. You can’t access QuickBooks company file from multiple computers the way that works for other programs on Local Area Network. QuickBooks Database Server Manager is the integral component of QuickBooks that makes QuickBooks multiuser work. All you need to decide is which computer will host the company file. The Company file ideally recommended being stored on the local Drive of the host/server computer.

QuickBooks host/server computer can be swapped anytime is required. All you need is to copy the QuickBooks Company file on the new computer before you do it. Also take a look at the prerequisite’s setup QuickBooks in multiuser mode.

      1. The computers to access the company file should be hooked to wired or wireless Local Area Network.

      1. The Windows File Sharing and Networking settings should be configured for Network Communication.

      1. All the computers names should be visible to each other over the Network.

      1. The LAN communication should be tested with the Ping command.

      1. You should be able to access all the shared network resources.

Once the all this is good to go, configure company file hosting in QuickBooks Database Server Manager to be used in multiuser mode. For detailed information please click the Article Link below.

Since you are trying to upgrade from 2006 version to 2018, due to a huge gap between the versions, you would first require to upgrade your company file to 2010 version, thereafter the file can be upgraded to 2018 version.

In case you are already trying to upgrade the file to 2010 version and still getting the -6150 error, this means either the QuickBooks components or the company file is damaged.

You can try to follow below steps:

Step 1: Change the location of your company file

Step 2: Press and hold the Ctrl key while opening QuickBooks

Step 3: Open the file from the new location

If you are still receiving the same error, then you must first try to open a sample file to check if the issue is with the application or your company file. If the sample file works fine then your company file is damaged.

Below steps can help you to restore the company file:

Step 1: Go to the folder where company files are located

Step 2: Search for the file extension.QBB

Step 3: Now look for the most recent file in the search results

Step 3: Copy the backup file to a new location and restore it

If you are unable to locate a most recent backup file then follow below steps to locate & restore the auto data recovery file:

Step 1: Go to the folder where your company files are located

Step 2: Search for the file extension .ADR

Step 3: Look for the most recent file in the search results

Step 4: Copy the file to a new folder

Step 5: Rename the file and replace the Extension .ADR with .QBW

Step 6: Open the file from QuickBooks

Hope one of the above solutions would have helped you solve the problem. However, if you are still experiencing the same error flashing on the screen then can take help at QuickBooks ProAdvisor Support Number 1-888-899-5690 for tech assistance.

    Hey folks,

I have been using QuickBooks since quite few years. I once had faced a similar problem which took me entire day to find a solution.

I can’t be a 100% sure but it seems like When one of the configuration files of the QuickBooks Online Backup is damaged, then QuickBooks error LA2807 appears. It can be resolved by updating the Database file. Then re-run a backup. This will prompt the Online Backup to retrieve an updated to the DB file.

If still not resolved, then you might have to seek professional advice, probably a techie person who help you to troubleshoot error LA2807 while using QuickBooks Cloud Backup service . You can contact to Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor.

    Hi Michael,

Let me introduce myself first, I represent a Consulting firm where I have been working on QuickBooks Pro to review and manage our books. A few days ago our printer went bad and I had to buy a new one and guess what? I was in the same trouble you are in. So below few steps, I tried:

    1. Run QuickBooks pdf and print repair tool
    2. Then re-open QuickBooks and try to print a sample check
    3. If it still does not solve your problem, then try to repair QuickBooks Pro
    4. If even that does not help, then you might have to delete or rename the QB print file which is normally located in the application directory.

If after following the above steps your issue is still not resolved, then you might have to seek professional advice, probably a techie person who help you modify the printer settings as per the Printer’s Make & Model. You can contact to Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor.

    Good Luck!
