How do I allow access for my accountant?

I am using QuickBooks Online Essentials. How do I allow access for my accountant? I have invited them on the Manage Users, but they still ask for my username and password. Is that correct? I thought they would be invited to create their own login.

Thanks for posting on our Community Forum.

When you go to Manage Users > Invite accountant – you will be asked to provide your accountant’s name and email address. Your accountant will receive an email – which sometimes will take a bit to receive – from which they will click on “accept” the invitation right from the email body. They will be asked to create a user ID and password if they don’t already have an Intuit user ID and password associated with their email address. You both will be able to access the company at the same time.
