Unable to to send Payroll data to Intuit in QuickBooks

While trying to process  payroll, on the page where it says “Send Payroll Data” it shows an error.

This error normally can occur because of 2 reasons:


    • Incorrect time zone is set on your computer


    • An accountant copy is created



So first you need to make sure the time zone is correct and then you would need to follow the below steps to resolve the problem:


    1. Go to Employees


    1. Click on My Payroll Service


    1. Go to Manage Service Keys


    1. Click on Edit


    1. Uncheck the Open Payroll Setup option


    1. Click Finish


After following the above steps the payroll updates should be downloaded and then you can click on Employees, then My Payroll Service and click on Send Usage Data and it should work fine.

In the case above steps do not help you resolve the problem and you had recently created an Accountant’s Copy, then you need to either remove the restrictions or import the Accountant Changes and then try to send Usage Data.
