What is QuickBooks manual payroll and how do I set it up?
Hi, I work in an organization and our team has been using QuickBooks Pro for the last three years. We used to operate on QuickBooks Enhanced before that to process the payroll. However, our organization currently has 2-3 employees working here. Consequently, we are planning to switch to QuickBooks Manual payroll but I don’t know what features I will get in QuickBooks Manual payroll and how to set it up? Can you please help me to setup QuickBooks Manual payroll?
Greetings, thank you for reaching out to the community. In QuickBooks Manual Payroll the software does not calculate the payroll taxes and it will not provide you with any payroll tax forms. Also, while using QuickBooks Manual Payroll you will need to calculate your tax and enter them in each paycheck manually. You can use QuickBooks manual payroll service if you don’t want to use Basic, Enhance or Assisted payroll service.
Now, if you want to know which Payroll Service you are using in your QuickBooks Desktop, you will need to perform the following steps:
- First, you will need to navigate to the ‘Employees’
- Then you must go to the ‘My Payroll Service’
- Next, you will have to click on the ‘manage service key’
- You will see the payroll service name that you are using in your QuickBooks in the next
- If it’s showing you QuickBooks Manual Payroll then you are on the right screen.
