Why my QuickBooks is not accepting my password while sending Invoices from QuickBooks?
I have QuickBooks Desktop and I never had any problem sending the Invoices and estimates till last the last week. I did have such problem once because had to change my Gmail passwords for some reasons but it worked fine as soon as I used the new Gmail password. But this time I am sure that the password that I entered is right. Can someone give me some insights about it?
Sending emails directly from QuickBooks is one of the most used features in QuickBooks. But if a user is not able to send invoice, reports or any other document, it becomes very frustrating for him/her. But there are certain ways that user can try to resolve this issue himself.
If You Are Using an Email Account
If you using your Gmail account to send forms from QuickBooks, make sure you have not recently changed your email password. Sometimes, if the 2 step verification is turned on in Gmail it will not allow you to send email directly from QuickBooks. And you have to allow the less secure app to use your Gmail account. You can perform following steps to turn on the less secure app.
- Open your Gmail account.
- Go to settings and then choose Security.
- Go to the Less secure app access panel, allow to access your Gmail from the less secure app.
If You Are Using Yahoo mail
Due to security reasons Yahoo recently launched 2 step verification. Like Gmail account, you have to turn off 2 step verification. And you have to allow the less secure app to sign in to allow Yahoo to send emails from QuickBooks. Following are the steps to allow the less secure app in yahoo.
- From Yahoo help, go to Generate third party app passwords.
- Click on Account Security App.
- You will opt to turn off and on Two-step verification and Allow apps that use less secure sign-in.
- Turn off Two-step verification.
- And turn on Allow app that uses less secure sign-in.
After allowing above needed steps, go back to your QuickBooks and try to send from the QuickBooks. It will allow you to send emails. But if you are not able to send emails it means that firewall or antivirus is blocking the QuickBooks to send emails.
If McAfee is installed in your computer, it also sometimes block the QuickBooks to send an email. In this case, the user has to allow the QuickBooks as a safe application to use your emails.
- Go to All Programs.
- Click on Virus Scan Console and open Access Protection.
- Then click on Edit.
Add all QuickBooks Process

- C:\Progrma Files\Intuit\QuickBooksxxxx\QBDBMGRN.exe
- C:\Progrma Files\Intuit\QuickBooksxxxx\QBDMGR.exe
