Is it possible to copy information from an existing Quickbooks company in order to start a new company file?

We run multiple restaurants and many of our items and accounts are always same, Now since we have just started using QuickBooks, It will be a terrible task to enter same accounts and items again for all of our 5 restaurants. Anyone who can help me?

Hi Jason,

Since you’ve mentioned that you have recently started using QuickBooks and have 5 restaurants, there are many things you should consider prior to setting up your accounting application. Below are few things you need to think about:

    1. Are all of the 5 restaurants in same State and just a different County

    1. If you planning to manage the reports of all 5 restaurants together or separately

    1. Are you requiring to have same accounts & lists to be setup just initially or would you want future accounts or lists to be in sync as well

I hope my answer helps you understand your requirements better. Thanks
