QuickBooks is not opening when I click on the desktop icon

I have QuickBooks 2018 pro and when I click on icon on the desktop, it doesn’t do anything, I have already tried to restart my computer but it still does not work. Any suggestions?

After clicking on the QuickBooks icon, the program does not start at times. There can be a number of reasons that prevent QuickBooks from opening. In some situations, rebooting your computer might resolve QuickBooks is not opening issue.

Alternatively, you can follow below troubleshooting steps that can help resolve QuickBooks is not opening issue:

 

    • Closing the QuickBooks process from the task manager

       

 

 

    1. Right-click on the Windows taskbar and click on Start Task Manager.

 

    1. Go to the Processes tab

 

    1. Select QBW32.EXE and click End Process button

 

 

    • Suppress QuickBooks

       

 

 

    1. Right-click on QuickBooks icon,

 

    1. Hold the Ctrl key on the keyboard

 

    1. Click on Open

 

Important: Do not let go the Ctrl key until you see the No Company Open window
