RE: Quickbooks leads to an Unrecoverable error while creating a Journal Entry

We are using QuickBooks Pro 2016  and whenever we try to create a  journal entry it crashes the QuickBooks and shows an unrecoverable error message. Everything else in the file works just fine

While creating a journal entry in your QuickBooks Company File, if you encounter QuickBooks Unrecoverable error, ‘xxxxx ,’ the program might encounter a condemnatory application fault(s). The message will read “QuickBooks has encountered a problem and needs to close” and displays anyone out of 50 unique numeric error codes

Unrecoverable Error: General Troubleshooting Steps

Outlined below are some of the common origin of Unrecoverable Errors and the codes that may come with it. Due to the random nature of the errors, the error number you get may differ from what is shown below. The list is not comprehensive and you might encounter a different error from the scenarios given.  

Important: Before proceeding with the troubleshooting steps:

    • Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.
    • Create a backup copy of your company file.

Select the Send button on error tab every time you receive QuickBooks unrecoverable error. The information gathered from this can help Intuit create patch updates to improve the program.
