Hello Susan,

You can change or customize the fonts on QuickBooks reports.

How to customize the fonts only for the current report?

To change the fonts on the current report is to position your cursor over the data you want to change, & then click the right mouse button. A window titled with the type of information to change will open: for example, Report Title, Row Labels, or Report Data. In this window you can select a variety of information:

  1. Font & Font Style: If you are not sure which font or font style you want to use, a sample display appears in the bottom right corner of the window.
  2. Size: A larger number gives you a larger text. However, some fonts or sizes may be too large to display properly on your screen, or to print on a single page. Average font size is between 8 and 12 points.
  3. Effects: You can select Strikeout, Underline, or both.
  4. Colour: If you have a color printer, you can choose from the drop-down list to print the associated information in color.

To customize the fonts for all reports:

  1. Go to Edit and choose Preferences.
  2. Scroll down the left side of the window and click the Reports & Graphs icon.
  3. Click the Company Preferences tab, and then the Format button.
  4. Click the Fonts & Numbers tab.
  5. Select the type of report information you want to change, and then click Change Font.
  6. See the information above for descriptions of the various font options, and make your selections. Click OK.
  7. Click Yes or No on the prompt to change related fonts (see the explanation above), and repeat steps 5 and 6 to change other report fonts, if desired.
  8. If you would like to change all reports back to their original fonts, use steps 1 through 4 to access the Fonts & Numbers tab, and then click Revert.
  9. Click OK to close out of the Report Format Preferences window.
  10. Click OK to close out of the Preferences window.
