How to Resolve QuickBooks Error 6190 816?

I have been using QuickBooks since 5 years, This is the first time I am having this issue with QuickBooks, While I am trying to open my company file it is giving me an Error Code -6190, -816 is defined as “QuickBooks was unable to open the file path on the host computer, Can anybody guide me to fix this issue ?

Completely understand the situation that just because of the error on QuickBooks you are so frustrated as your work is interrupting but would like to tell you We will get this issue resolve Asap and make you get back to work, there can be several causes when you see this error, Mostly this error comes when your company file has any error or any transaction log is not matched with logs also if you are accessing your QuickBooks file from other server work station has network connectivity issue.

Several Reason to See the QuickBooks Error 1690;

  1. There can be a different reason due to update failure cause when a company file is updated by any user on a different computer without updating its transaction file, it will display QuickBooks error 6190 816.
  2. While any other user is accessing the company files in Single User Mode this can be second reason for this error may be caused
  3. Last possible reason for this error is Data Corruption in the QuickBooks data file. But it is important to identify the data corruption in QuickBooks.

By Following Below Steps, You Can Fix This Issue:

First you must to use QuickBooks File Doctor tool to analyze if there any error we have in company file:

  1. Download and install QuickBooks File doctor tool.
  2. It will ask you for the file location to run verification.
  3. Close all the running QuickBooks windows.
  4. Run reboot.bat to restart QuickBooks services.
  5. Re-open your QuickBooks now, It should work fine now if now follow the next steps.
