QuickBooks Error 1913 while opening company file
Last night our computer shut down automatically and since then we are unable to open our company file, we are using QuickBooks Pro 2016. Can someone help us resolve this problem?
QuickBooks error 1913 occurs when we face issues QBW.ini file. Usually, this QuickBooks error found in 2014 or later editions of QuickBooks desktop.
The QBW.ini is an ASCII text file that stores data for QuickBooks to use while starting QuickBooks and while opening your company data file. If the QBW.ini file becomes corrupted and not able to function properly then you need to rename the file. After performing this task QuickBooks will create a new QBW.ini from default data. You need to edit the QBW.ini and add back any customized entries which you made earlier.
You can find the QBW.ini in the following locations mentioned below. Be aware that some of the folders are hidden, so you must turn on hidden folders.
Windows 7/8/10, Windows Vista: C:\ProgramData\Intuit\QuickBooks [Version e.g. 2015,2016]
