Converting Payroll from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online

Hi. My name is Cheryl. I am having some trouble while transferring my QuickBooks Desktop Payroll information to my QuickBooks Online account. Could someone tell me how to go about this?

Thanks for coming to our QAsolved Community Forum for help.

If you’d like to transfer your payroll data from QuickBooks Desktop to Online, you will first have to convert the data before exporting it. You will also have to add the items, as well as the year to date numbers in a manual fashion. I recommend you follow these steps:

  1. Select Workers.
  2. Click on Employees.
  3. Find the name of the employee.
  4. Edit the entry, and add the ages types.
  5. Also, add the deductible item to the list.
  6. Fill in the rest of the required information, and then click Done.
