How to resolve QuickBooks Error 15224?
Unable to download updates due to Error code 15224. Someone please help me as I need to do a lot of work.

There is a lot of reason why QuickBooks error 15224 arises, for example, your computer and Internet settings are not configured properly, your firewall is not allowing you to download the updates coming from outside, or due to the restriction by your system administrator. So, in this blog will be discussing all these QuickBooks errors. (If you receive any Error starting from 15103, 15104, 15105, 15106, 15107, 15223, 15240, or 15271 try the following)

Solutions to Fix QuickBooks error 15224:
Step 1: Reboot the QuickBooks and re-register QuickBooks .DLL files
- To reboot the software, Close QuickBooks.
- Open the folder containing the bat. (Make Right click on software then click on open file location). It will locate you to the folder where the reboot. bat file is located.
- So, here you need to select the file by making a right click and click on Run as Administrator.
- A command prompt (DOS) windows (black box) will appear on your computer screen with rapidly scrolling file names. It will reboot the QuickBooks and re-register the Software .DLL
Note: Do not close the box manually, once the reboot.bat utility completed it will close it window by itself. - Restart the computer.
- After restarting computer open the QuickBooks, and if it asks for you to Install an Update, Click on Install.
- Once you see your QuickBooks home screen, Click on the Help from the top of your QuickBooks main screen.
- Then you need to click on select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
- It will give you a new window So click on Update now tab. After that click on Reset Updates.
- After Resetting the updates click on Get Updates to redownload the Updates.
- Once the download is done close the QuickBooks.
- If it gives you the new prompt to install update click on Install Update.
Step 2: Verify and Troubleshoot QuickBooks Desktop and Internet Explorer settings.
- First of all, you need to check the Date and time. If your date and time setting are not correct as per your network (Server) time zone it will not Install and configure updates.
- To configure the Internet Setting Press the Windows+R and then type cpl.
- On the connection tab window, you need to select LAN Under the Lan Settings you will see two options for the Proxy setting. So, you need to ask with your administrator for the proxy setting. Most probably the proxy settings are disabled so you need to make sure the checkbox should be unchecked.
- Once done click on ok.
- Now you need to check SSL On the same connection tab window, you need to Go to the Advanced tab.
- Scroll it down till the time you see SSL 2.0 and 0, and make sure both the boxes are checked. If the boxes are marked then you need to click on the box next to check for publisher certificate.
- After configuring all the settings, you need to unmark TLS 1.0.
- Once everything is done restart the QuickBooks and the computer and try to download QuickBooks Payroll update.
