Is it possible to move data from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Self-Employed?

I am moving to the Self Employed edition of QuickBooks Online, is it possible to move data from the regular Online version?

Good Afternoon

At the moment, we don’t have any option or a way available where we can move the information from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) but Yes, we can move the data from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online.

Here we can let you know how to convert the data from QBES to Online QuickBooks also will let you know how to get your subscription cancel altogether.

In order to track a record of the data you have in QuickBooks Self-Employed, please get it a printout of Tax Details report from the report page.

Steps to move the data from QBSE:

  1. Open QBSE software in Internet Explorer.
  2. On the left panel, please select Transactions option.
  3. Now choose or click on Download icon from the category column.
  4. Here you can directly download the transactions from the Transactions tab into a .CSV file format.
  5. For the transactions import and export, you can use any third-party service like Excel importer.
  6. In QuickBooks Online, the only thing which you can import from QBSE would be Customers, Vendors, Chart of Accounts, Products, and Services in .CSV format.

Once the export is done from QBSE, open QuickBooks Online and follow the steps below:

  1. Click on Banking from the left panel.
  2. Choose or select the upload file option.
  3. Now click on Browse and navigate to the location where you have saved the transactions file which have exported from QuickBooks Self-Employed application.
  4. Now the important task is to map the CSV Data format from Self Employed application into Online QuickBooks. Please, once done confirm the mapping of column name for import.

Once you moved or convert the data from QBSE to Online, make sure you get your paid subscription canceled so that you won’t be getting charged again and again.
