While trying to create paychecks, quickbooks prompts the error code 30159, I tried to update the payroll however it does not work. Someone please help.!
QuickBooks Payroll Error 30159 mainly comes up when QuickBooks is not installed properly, EIN Status is not active, Windows reg files are corrupted, Windows is not updated, QuickBooks company file is corrupted or damaged etc. So, these all are the reason behind the QuickBooks error 30159. Solutions to fix QuickBooks error code 30159
Step 1: Manually update your system
To fix the QuickBooks error 30159 we are going to update the computer. Because some of the dependencies need to require to run QuickBooks Software.
- To update Windows components and dependencies Go to the Control Panel.
- In the control panel window, you need to find the system and security.
- In the next screen, you need to click on windows update.
- After that, you will get a new window click on check for updates.
- Once the updates will be done restart the computer.
Step 2: Perform a System restore
- To fix error 30159 you can restore your computer, by restoring the computer it will put your system files back the way it was before, don’t need to worry about any data you won’t lose anything.
- From your computer screen click on Start menu.
- Then you need to click on the control panel from the start menu.
- In the control panel window Click on system and security.
- Under system and security, you need to find out Backup and Restore. underneath You need to select Restore your files with file history.
- In the next windows, you need to select the Restore Point and Click on Next until it’s asking for a system restart.
- Once the system will restart let it be, and once the restoration process will be done you will be able to see your normal computer screen.
Step 3: QuickBooks Error scanning
- Our next step is to download QuickBooks Payroll Error 30159 utility.
- Once it’s downloaded you need to Install the program.
- After that, you need to begin the installation once it is done click on scan to start scanning for the error.
- Once the scanning is complete Select Fix QB Errors after scanning is completed.
- Finally, Restart the Computer.
Step 4: Adding EIN
- First of all, you need to Log into the QuickBooks company file.
- After that, you need to Select and click on the Payrolls option.
- It will give you a new window to along with payroll service key so here you need to Click on ‘Use my Existing Payrolls Service’.
- After this, a new window will appear by the name of ‘Account Maintenance’
- In the Account Maintenance screen Click on Add file.
- After clicking on Add file Click on the radio button and Add EIN Number.
Note: If the radio button is not enabled or disabled, that means you have already subscribed for the EIN (Employee Identification Number) for your company.
- Finally, Click on Next.
- And walk through all the information.
- Once you have done with that close QuickBooks or Return to QuickBooks home screen to continue with the work.
