I keep getting QuickBooks error code -6123.

I just upgraded to QuickBooks Desktop 2019. I am unable to login to QuickBooks.  I keep getting QuickBooks error code -6123.

QuickBooks Error Code 6123 is a common error that our users complain about. This could occur when your connection to the QuickBooks Company file has been lost. It could happen when you are restoring a backup directly from an external location. It could also happen if you have a damaged Desktop file. There are quite a few solutions to fix this issue including:

  • End all QuickBooks related processes from the Windows Task Manager.
  • Download the QuickBooks File Doctor, and install it. It should help you diagnose and repair the exact issue.
  • Try and manually fix these settings. These steps are different for both Single-user and multi-user environments.
  • Perform full QuickBooks reinstallation.
  • Verify that you do not have any data damage among your files.
